TIJ Inkjet Printer Ink Cartridge Replacement and Maintenance Guide

Mastering the correct methods for replacing and maintaining the ink cartridges of TIJ inkjet printers is the core to ensuring the continuous stability of the production line and controlling operating costs. Unlike complex industrial equipment, the maintenance threshold of TIJ technology is relatively low, but "simple" does not mean "it can be taken lightly". Standardized self-maintenance not only ensures clear coding quality but also effectively extends the service life of expensive print heads.
When the device issues an ink shortage alarm or the print shows broken lines or is unclear, it is a signal to replace the ink cartridge. Preparatory work is of vital importance: Please make sure that you have an original ink cartridge that exactly matches the model of the inkjet printer. Non-original consumables are the main culprit for nozzle clogging. At the same time, please prepare disposable gloves and lint-free cloths and operate in a clean and dry environment. The specific replacement process is as follows: First, keep the device powered on, open the ink tank cover, and move the print head to the replacement position. Then, gently open the snap and pull out the old ink cartridge vertically and steadily. The next crucial step is to gently wipe the metal electronic contacts inside the ink tank with a lint-free cloth to ensure there is no ink residue. This can guarantee the stable communication of the new ink cartridge, but be sure to apply gentle force to avoid damaging the precision contacts. Next, remove the sealing strip and protective cover of the new ink cartridge, align them with the slot, and insert them vertically as well until you hear a "click", confirming that they are installed properly. Finally, close the ink tank. After the equipment is briefly initialized, immediately execute the "nozzle Test" function and print the test page to verify that all nozzles have sprayed ink completely. Please be sure to note that the interval between removing the old ink cartridge and refilling the new one should be as short as possible. The aim is to minimize the time the print head is exposed to the air and prevent the ink at the nozzle from drying up. This is the most effective habit to avoid many unexplained blockages.
In addition to the correct replacement of ink cartridges, daily meticulous maintenance is the fundamental solution to prevent malfunctions. Before shutting down the machine every day, please gently wipe the surface of the print head with a dry lint-free cloth to remove floating dust and slight ink residue. Please strictly avoid directly cleaning the print head with alcohol or other chemical solvents. Unless explicitly permitted in the manufacturer's manual, these liquids can easily cause irreversible damage to the precision print head. For the working environment, it is necessary to keep the area around the equipment clean as much as possible, away from dusty, damp and strong static electricity interference. If the equipment is not used daily, it is also recommended to turn it on and run it every two or three days, and perform a nozzle test to keep the nozzle unobstructed. This is particularly crucial for preventing clogging caused by idleness.
In daily practice, we often encounter some misunderstandings. For instance, many users would ask: "Can I refill the ink cartridge by myself after it is used up?" The answer is absolutely no. The TIJ ink cartridge is a precise whole that integrates the nozzle, ink, circuit and air pressure balance system. Self-filling will completely disrupt its internal balance, leading to ink leakage, a sudden drop in print quality, and a high probability of permanent damage to the nozzle. At the same time, it will also cause the original factory warranty to become invalid. Another common problem is how to deal with white lines or blurriness when printing. At this point, you should first perform the "Nozzle Cleaning" function in the device menu 1 to 2 times. Most minor blockages can be resolved in this way. If the problem persists, check again whether the ink cartridge is installed properly or has truly run out.
